Reject them not because they are blunt and simple; despise them not because they contain nothing new. Be very sure, if you would train children for heaven, they are hints that ought not to be lightly set aside.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

J. C. Ryle (1816-1900) had a distinguished ministry of vocational Christian service as a pastor, author, and scholar. He was educated at Eton College and the University of Oxford, ultimately receiving a Doctor of Divinity diploma. He served as the first Anglican bishop of Liverpool. He authored numerous tracts and books including Thoughts for Young Men, Expository Thoughts on the Gospels, Knots Untied, and Holiness.
