Inhaltsangabe

Stories, reflections, imagination, and inspiration from a community of writers finding their voice.

What happens when a group of writers meets every month with a cup of coffee, a writing prompt, and a willingness to put their words on the page?

This book.

East Side Writers: 2026 Anthology brings together a collection of creative writings from members of a growing local writers’ group. From imaginative short stories and personal reflections to playful writing assignments and works inspired by everyday life, these pages showcase the unique voices and perspectives of writers at different stages of their journeys.

East Side Writers began in 2024 with a single Write Your Path Writers’ Workshop. What started with a handful of writers grew into a monthly gathering where members encourage one another, learn the craft, experiment with new ideas, and—most importantly—write.

Along the way, members have published novels, devotionals, children's books, and Young Adult fiction. They have led workshops, attended conferences, explored the possibilities of artificial intelligence, debated plotting versus “pantsing,” brainstormed new projects, and celebrated one another's progress.

This anthology captures some of that journey.

Inside you'll find writings inspired by creative challenges such as:

• Ice & Snow
• For the Love of Writing
• March Mad Libs
• Enchanted April
• Travel Log 2026
• Back to School
• Spooky Story Saturday
• Christmas Classics

Some pieces were written specifically for group assignments. Others come from personal projects. Together, they offer a glimpse into what can happen when writers make time to write—and surround themselves with people who encourage them to keep going.

Whether you are a reader looking for fresh, heartfelt stories or an aspiring writer wondering where to begin, this collection is a celebration of creativity, community, and the courage to put your words on the page.

Read the stories. Enjoy the journey. And perhaps, before you finish, you'll be inspired to write a story of your own.
