They examine church disappointment, greed and contentment, honest evangelism, repairing troubled marriages, anxiety intensified by constant news, and loneliness despite digital connection. Further chapters consider responding when a teenager abandons the faith, enduring ridicule, maintaining regular Scripture study amid demanding schedules, and preparing for persecution through present obedience.

Where necessary, Torrey’s theological language and interpretations have been revised to conform more closely to the historical-grammatical meaning of Scripture. Christian direction comes through the Spirit-inspired written Word rather than mystical impressions or private revelations. Throughout these chapters, biblical teaching supplies the standard for evaluating beliefs, addressing problems, and choosing faithful action.
