Read Korean Without Guessing — Level A1.2: 서울의 일상 continues Luca's journey through everyday Seoul.
루카는 아침에 일어나요. 커피를 마셔요. 역에 가요.
Something new is happening: Luca is not only described. He acts. He wakes up, drinks, goes, eats, talks, rests, and builds a real routine in Korean.
In Level A1.1, you learned who Luca is, what he has, and how simple Korean sentences work. Now you learn what Luca does—through beginner Korean and interlinear support.
This level introduces the tools that make Korean feel alive: action verbs, particles, time expressions, negation, family words, food, weather, home vocabulary.
You meet these inside Luca's life in Seoul, see them repeated naturally, and understand each sentence as you read.
Every sentence has direct English support:
루카는 Luca 아침에 in the morning 빵을 bread 먹어요. eats.
No guessing. No dictionary. No broken reading flow.
Read the supported version first, then try the Korean-only version.
Luca has arrived. Now he settles in.
he wakes up, eats breakfast, goes to the station, visits Mr. Park's café, talks with Minji, describes his family, checks the weather, tells time, and shows his small home.
You will move from 매일 and 빵을 먹어요 to 어디에 가요?, 카페에서, 우리 가족, 안 먹어요, 몇 시예요?, 오늘 날씨, 집 안, and 좋은 하루. Each chapter adds one clear skill, then reviews it.
The grammar path is focused: 해요체 verbs, 을/를, destination 에, action-location 에서, means (으)로, family with 있어요, 안 negation, time + 에, weather, and patterns such as 방에 텔레비전이 있어요.
This book is Level A1.2, the second step in a 12-level Korean reader pathway. Together with A1.1, it supports early preparation for TOPIK I Level 1.
If you completed Level A1.1, you already know greetings, self-introduction, 이에요/예요, 있어요/없어요, native numbers, colors, basic particles, and simple adjectives. A1.2 reinforces all of that while adding the action system needed for real communication.
서울의 일상 gives you Korean you can use: waking up, eating, traveling, talking about family, checking the weather, and describing your home.
Read naturally. Understand everything. Build your Korean one day at a time.
좋은 하루 보내세요!
Have a great day—and happy reading!
