A fated trip to the library yields one of the spookiest, scariest, creepiest Halloween tales the children of Winters Spy neighborhood have ever heard before. A sleeping dormant spring crop is no longer dormant once the ground begins to freeze. Alive as if human, very well plump, up and about it begins to take the very first steps toward the three unsuspecting children walking along the road near its pumpkin patch fields. A date marker carved into the post reads March 21, 2016, the date it was planted, rapidly outgrowing the pumpkins surrounding its muddy resting grounds. No longer bound to the grounds as it stiffens from the cold air, the pumpkin goes from walking to a full tilt sprint, a chase that gives way to a twisted. heart racing end none of the children could have ever seen coming their way! Happy Halloween!
