But I write unto thee of another kind of word: a word that cannot be broken because the One who spake it cannot die. I write unto thee of the Oath — שְׁבוּעָה(shevuʿah) in the Hebrew of Moses, ὅρκος(horkos) in the Greek of John, מוֹמָתָא(mawmāthā) in the Aramaic of the Peshitta — the sworn and sevenfold word of the Father, sealed in the mouth of the mighty Angel of Revelation, chapter ten.
Verily I say unto thee: when the seven thunders uttered their voices, an oath followed them. The hand went up to heaven. The mouth sware by Him that liveth for ever and ever. And from that lifted hand hangeth the whole hope of this bleeding world. This book is written that Rachel may dry her eyes; for the Judge of all the earth hath not forgotten. He hath sworn. And what He hath sworn, He will perform.
Three courts shall try the matter before thee. The Confession of the Oath — how the mouth receiveth it. The Profession of the Oath — how the life carrieth it. The Possession of the Oath — how the heir inheriteth it. And after these, a Register of an hundred fifty and three scriptures, nine courts of seventeen witnesses each, gleaned from Genesis to Revelation, that thou mayest see with thine own eyes how the whole Bible is stitched together with the golden thread of the sworn word. Read, and weep no more.
