During a time of confusion and a lack of purpose, two women found it necessary to compile this much-needed book, one that speaks to the heart and soul of the Germanic woman. In this anthology, multiple authors address a wide range of subjects relating to every aspect of womanhood, seeking to guide women back toward a course that is true to their nature—not only as women, but as members of the Folk, and thus as women with duties to family, community, and Folk.
Each author touches upon different aspects of a woman’s life: her vital role in the life or death of her people; her distinctive God-given Nordic-Germanic character; and her role as wife, mother, and even farm wife. The book also offers wonderful stories and poems, advice on fashion and music, and guidance concerning cultural practices. It reminds us of how wives and mothers have shaped the lives of great men throughout history; how women are the linchpins of the family, economy, and community; and how they serve as moral influences within them. The book addresses duties and racial health, the education of girls, and many other topics that women and mothers are sure to find enlightening. Originally published in 1934, this new 2026 edition has been updated and adapted to the circumstances of our own age. It seeks to speak to the Germanic or Western woman of today with clarity and sincerity.
Furthermore, the booklet The Woman as Judge over Life and Death of Her People by Eva Kriner-Fischer has been included. The original illustrations have also been improved and included in this edition. Where statistics are mentioned, they have been updated to reflect our own age. However, the message and central point of the original remain unchanged. Even as times change, its arguments remain grounded in sound knowledge concerning human nature, the laws of heredity, and the laws of nature.
