Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Barbara K. Stripling has been a school librarian (Arkansas), grant administrator (Tennessee), school library supervisor (Arkansas and New York City), and library educator (Syracuse University) during an almost 50-year career. She holds a B.A., an M.A., an M.Ed., an Ed.S., and a D.P.S. Stripling was co-editor of School Library Media Quarterly and is the author or editor of numerous books, articles, and book chapters. She is the creator of the Stripling Model of Inquiry and the REACTS Taxonomy of Research Reactions.

Darryl Toerien is Head of Inquiry-Based Learning at Blanchelande College, a PK-12 school in Guernsey, Channel Islands. He is the originator of FOSIL, the FOSIL Group, and the Institute for the Advancement of Inquiry (IAI). He serves on the Editorial Board of SJSU's Learning Hub, and is a member of the UK Library and information association (CILIP), the UK School Library Association (SLA), the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL), and the School Libraries Section (SLS) of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). He holds an M.A. equivalent in Philosophy and an M.A. in Information and Library Management.
