J.A. Barrios is an award-winning Northern Virginian native with a love of all the arts. Raised in a family of movie buffs, J.A. has had a longstanding love for the art of film and always wanted to make movies. In particular, the genres of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy provided the inspiration to delve into realms of his own making. Of course, as a child he lacked the resources to make the types of movies he envisioned, so he turned to sharing his stories through word. Being a poet at heart, J.A. has also channeled his urge to tell stories into music and has for over a decade been in a creative partnership with a fellow musician. In his award-winning debut novel, J.A. now sees the culmination of a lifetime of storytelling made manifest in physical form, and looks forward to bringing to life many more stories both fantastical and macabre.
