Karrol-Jo (KJ) Foster, Ph.D., LMHC is the Founder & CEO of Fostering Resilience(TM)Dr. Foster is a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Florida and specializes in Substance Use Disorders, OCD, Mindfulness Meditation, Relapse Prevention and Trauma. She earned her doctorate in Counselor Education from Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Foster created and manualized Fostering Resilience Relapse Prevention, an integrated model combining traditional cognitive behavioral exercises, mindfulness meditation skills, and shame resilience strategies. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters, including a chapter in the book Spirituality and Religion in Counseling: Competency-Based Strategies for Ethical Practice and the newly released Addiction and Recovery Handbook.Dr. Foster lives in Vero Beach, Florida with her husband, Dr. Anthony Foster.
