Inhaltsangabe

The 360 micro-essays of La Luna Neptuna: A Pacific Rim Prayer Wheel form a loosely arranged moon-and-tide calendar. This mandala of perspectives on our largest ocean’s geologic Ring of Fire finds oblique allegories and parables bubbling up from the elemental interplay of Land and Water.

The word “Pacific” implies “peace,” but the region is also a site of protean turbulence. La Luna Neptuna reads omens in a gull’s cuneiform footprints, oracles in a foaming wave’s fractal lattice, and axioms in a water molecule’s triad of atoms. Along the rotary circuit of these meditations, quark-like sand grains, undulating currents, and a teeming marine biome inspire a liminal, coastal way of seeing and writing.
