Inhaltsangabe

"Imagination collides with reality..."As a young boy, Brave Howie shared the insecurities and fears we all feel at night in a dark room alone. He knew the rules: Keep the closet door shut, check underneath the bed before climbing in, and check again if you need to get up in the middle of the night. The Monster at Midnight is based on a true experience that was just scary enough for a young child to relate to, and always remember, especially when reading it with those you love and trust to be there when needed.Parents and children alike have that shared experience of being awakened by a startling sound that does not fit in. We all know the prickly rush of anxiety as we lay absolutely still waiting to see if the disturbing sound will be repeated. Oh, and what happens when it comes again? Bumps in the night, footsteps when all are in bed, sounds from something out of place. It is a story that will captivate every age in it's re-telling set to familiar rhyme. What secret did he know that would keep him safe? What great lesson did he learn that changed everything about facing the unexpected? Stories like this are best experienced when invited to sit on the edge of a child's bed where hearts are open and stories never to be forgotten are told. Enjoy an unforgettable adventure tonight with your child as together you dive deep into the world of Brave Howie and the Monster at Midnight.
