Major League Baseball was his first pursuit; he settled for a full-ride baseball scholarship at KSU. After KSU, he accepted a pharmaceutical sales position. During his twenty-eight-year career at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, he was enshrined in Pfizer's Hall of Fame for Sales and reached the corporate level of Senior Director. His career was cut short in late 2010 when he was disabled by the mental illnesses of generalized anxiety disorder and treatment-resistant depression. His life has teetered on survival and surrender. Having successfully survived a fourteen-year war within his mind, he is uniquely qualified to raise hopes, proliferate love, and demonstrate gratitude.
