It felt unfair what was happening to her. Part of me wanted her to break loose, but at the same time, she did and was doing such great work with my siblings and me that I knew her work was of paramount importance. She never would receive the acclaim my father did, but in my eyes she was more valuable. I always think of the woman my mother could have been in today’s society. She would have been very great; I am sure of it.
I do not hate my father. It sounds like I despised him, but I didn’t. I actually loved my father; he always took care of his household. To provide a roof over our heads and resources to buy the best of the best, there was none better. Because of his position, we could live well. My brothers had a great start to life, having been put on a path of success through my father’s finances and connections. My sisters and I received all we ever needed and more, not only material things but also love.
Is the world yours? Does it belong to you and yours? All you have ever done is throw us into more distress. Degradation, division, and hatred are your trademarks. Still, I must give you credit for your good work otherwise. No?
