Thousands of years ago, the Celestial Kingdom fought the Daemo of the Underworld for mastery over the world called Terra and won, unleashing such powerful spells that Terra itself became a virtual mana node. But now, Terra is healing, and with the mana the Celestials depend on drying up, they are growing desperate. In the Eastern Empire, whose Celestials have allied with the Daemo, a gladiator named Amazonia is given her freedom in exchange for becoming a Reaver Knight who must find a way to prevent a war upon their borders. But Fate will laugh as dark secrets are revealed, and a war, far more terrible than anyone ever imagined, unleashed upon all.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
David Talon grew up in and around Chicago, Illinois, joined the Marine Corps at 17 as an infantryman and later became a Corpsman in the Navy. Besides novels, he's had short stories published in various anthologies, written screenplays, has done occasional voice work, and produced a podcast based on an early novel.
