Things haven't been going well for ex-scholastic-star player Vincent Perdente the last several years. He loves his family, but the daily drudgery of life has beaten him down for so long, he feels lost even in the places he belongs: at home, at work, and even his local rec "beer league" team.
But just when it feels like he's at his lowest, an opportunity comes along that blindsides him - and it thrusts him to the precipice of the highest level of the game he's always loved, and gives him a second chance at the dreams he'd thought long ago passed him by.
