Inhaltsangabe
In a leafy green world, beside a sparkling pond, lives Stix the stick insect. Stix is quiet and thoughtful, but he has a very big dream. Each day, he gazes at the pond, wishing he could swim. The water shimmers with fun and laughter, and Stix longs to join in. More than anything, he wants to swim like everyone else.
But the pond feels so big, and Stix isn’t sure he can do it. He stays on his branch, wishing and wondering, while his friends splash and play.
Then, with gentle encouragement from a few fun‑loving friends, Stix discovers something magical: there isn’t only one way to enjoy the pond. He doesn’t have to dive deep or race across the water to belong. He can start small. Guided to a puddle, shiny, shallow and perfectly his size, Stix takes a brave step forward. One step becomes two, then three, until he’s splashing, twirling, and laughing with delight.
Suddenly, the pond feels different. It feels welcoming. It feels like home. Stix realizes that joy doesn’t come from copying what others do, it comes from finding your own way to play. His puddle may be smaller than the pond, but it’s filled with courage, friendship, and fun, and that makes it just right.
A Puddle for Stix is a whimsical, heart‑bright tale about a stick insect’s adventure to find his courage and enjoy the water his own way. Through the kindness of friends and the joy of being true to himself, Stix fulfils his dream. With playful rhyme and gentle humour, this uplifting tale is perfect for children’s bedtime reading, story time, or classroom read‑along.
