Inhaltsangabe

The Henson family genealogy traces the journey of William Henson Sr., his sons, Jesse Henson Sr., and William Henson Jr. as they migrated from Virginia to North Carolina, and eventually to Western Kentucky in the late 1790s.

William Henson Sr., with roots in early colonial Virginia, moved his family southward into North Carolina, seeking new opportunities on the frontier. His sons, Jesse Henson Sr. and William Henson Jr., came of age in North Carolina, where they began their own families.

By the late 1790s, as land opened up west of the Appalachians, the Hensons joined many other pioneer families in pushing into Western Kentucky—a region rich in land and opportunity. Settling in counties such as Warren, Allen, Caldwell and Marshall, the Hensons became part of the early wave of settlers who helped shape the region’s development.

Their journey reflects the broader American movement westward, driven by the promise of land, independence, and a new start for future generations.
