In my own battle to learn about the Book of Revelation I became increasingly frustrated after reading Christian books on the end-times. I walked away with more questions than answers. My foundational understanding of the word of God didn't become stronger, in fact it became even more muddled. How would I ever sort out the truth in the Bible?
The engaging photo art by Andréa Hall represents three important biblical battles. First, there is a soldier in full armor. Christians are to put on the full armor of God as instructed in Ephesians Chapter 6. The last part of Ephesians 6:17 states "and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Our sword is God's word. We also know from John 1:1 that the Word of God is Jesus. In the Book of Revelation, Jesus is the sword returning in the future. Second, the cover photo shows an overwhelming dragon. The study of Revelation reveals much about the Dragon that has fought against God throughout time. Third, the cover photo reminds us of the battle to understand the book of Revelation. This book details a chapter-by-chapter chronology of Revelation from the perspective of a literal interpretation of Revelation and a pre-millennial view. After nearly thirty years of study, I started to collect notes for my boys. I didn't want them to feel lost in the word of God. This book grew out of a desire to learn more about the Book of Revelation and share that knowledge with them. I pray this book will be a place to begin for those not knowing exactly where to start. Throughout my Revelation journey I have learned that we CAN understand Revelation and its timing, in fact...
