Inhaltsangabe

Tempus fugit means “time flies.”

Except, it really doesn’t if you’re Tempus Halt, time holder and Father Time’s son. He is so bored…right up until he’s about to sacrifice a mortal’s lifetime to the Fates on New Year’s Eve, and a beautiful woman throws herself into his arms. “Take me,” she says. Oh, he intends to do that—right up until his mortal sacrifice changes to Lacey Carpenter. Midnight passes, without a sacrifice, and killing her would just be a waste. Well, he’s not bored.

Lacey watched one of those “reapers” kill her father on New Year’s Eve two years ago, and she intends to stop it, even if she has to sacrifice herself. Instead, she ends up with an annoying (but hot) immortal neighbor who steals her books to read, crashes her dates, and leaves behind the imprint of his touch after stopping time to save her life—again. They’re a little dysfunctional. They return to the lodge for the holidays to see if they’ve got a happy ending coming—or just an ending.

Taking Time is a magical romance novella with a HEA, a sexy-sweet romance, and no cheating. It features sexy banter, an immortal learning to love, holiday cheer, and a heroine hoping to see the new year. It also has a book-loving hero, in case you’re a fan of sexy readers, which of course you are. If you like immortals who can stop time, moments that make you laugh loud enough to scare your pet, and, of course, a happily ever after, you’ll love Taking Time, the second book in Wendy Sparrow’s paranormal Christmas / New Year’s romance series, Servants of Fate. Each book can be read as a standalone, but make more sense in order. (Taking Time has been published previously, but was unavailable for several years. This "edition" is primarily a rerelease.)
