• Tosk Albanian: Spoken by more recent Albanian immigrants.

4. Romani

• Spoken by the Romani (Roma) communities scattered throughout the country.
• Often bilingual with Greek.

5. Vlach (Aromanian)

• A Romance language spoken by the Vlach people, mainly in northern Greece and the Pindus mountains.
• Related to Romanian but distinct.

6. Pontic Greek, Cappadocian Greek

• Dialects historically spoken by Greeks from Asia Minor and the Black Sea region.
• Still spoken in some communities, especially among descendants of refugees from the population exchange with Turkey in the 1920s.

Other Languages

• English, French, and German are widely studied as foreign languages in schools.
• English is particularly common in tourism, business, and among younger Greeks.
• Due to immigration, languages such as Russian, Bulgarian, Georgian, and Arabic are also spoken in some communities.
