Known: Finding God, Yourself, and the Belonging You Were Made For

We all want to be known—not just in passing, not just for the polished parts of ourselves, but truly seen, fully understood, and deeply loved. But for so many, faith has felt transactional, something to be proven rather than received. Traditional devotionals often fall into two extremes: either rigid and rule-heavy or vague and sentimental. Known is neither.

This is not a book of easy answers. It is an invitation into a slower, more intentional way of knowing God and yourself—not through striving, but through presence.

Over ten weeks, Known leads you through the sacred work of being seen by God. It is built around six core spiritual practices—silence, journaling, breath prayer, walking in awareness, acts of service, and sacred rest—woven seamlessly into the rhythms of each week. These practices are gentle invitations, anchoring you in the truth that you are already held by a God who has always known you.

This book is for the seekers, the weary, the ones who have tried devotionals before and walked away feeling unseen. It does not demand performance. It does not rush you toward certainty. Instead, it offers a rhythm of reflection, a way of slowing down, listening, and making space for God to meet you exactly as you are.

A DEVOTIONAL LIKE NO OTHER

Each week begins with an opening reflection, a soft threshold to step into the theme ahead—whether embracing being fully seen, rediscovering God’s presence in the ordinary, or trusting His knowledge of your whole self, including the shadows.

From there, you will move through seven days of guided devotion, each with a scripture, a short reflection, and a meaningful truth statement to carry with you. Every day also includes a dare—a gentle challenge to step beyond the words on the page and encounter God in real, tangible ways.

At the close of each week, you’ll find a summation and reflection experience, an opportunity to gather what you’ve learned like wildflowers at the end of a long walk.

A BOOK THAT HOLDS BEAUTY AS WELL AS TRUTH

Throughout Known, delicate, minimalist line sketches—like whispered prayers—are interwoven with the words. These simple illustrations mirror the heart of the devotional: an invitation to pause, notice, and see the sacred in the small and the still.

WHAT MAKES THIS DEVOTIONAL DIFFERENT?

❖ IT HONORS YOUR QUESTIONS: You don’t have to have it all figured out.
❖ IT INVITES YOU INTO PRACTICE: Through silence, movement, and breath, you will experience God.
❖ IT IS ROOTED IN BEAUTY: Crafted with care, it invites you to linger rather than rush.
❖ IT GIVES YOU PERMISSION TO GO SLOWLY: There is no race to the finish.

WHO IS THIS BOOK FOR?

➤ The spiritually curious, longing for a faith that feels less like obligation and more like relationship.
➤ The weary and disillusioned, seeking a way back to God that is rooted in love rather than pressure.
➤ The deep thinkers, drawn to reflection, beauty, and the quiet mystery of God’s presence.
➤ Those who have struggled to find a devotional that isn’t overly simplistic, rigid, or sentimental.

AN INVITATION TO BE SEEN, HELD, AND KNOWN

Known is not a book that gives you more to do. It is a book that invites you to simply be—to rest in the truth that you are seen, known, and loved by God exactly as you are.

Because you are already known.
And that changes everything.
