It's early 1957 during the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union. A race is being run between the United States and the Soviet Union to develop the first artificial satellite. An American named Al, a covert CIA agent, is on a mission to determine how far the Soviet Union is in their development of a satellite, and if possible, to steal engineering designs for the Americans.
Al's daughter, Andrea, travels to Baikonur, Kazakhstan, in an effort to find her father, who disappeared and hasn't been heard from in days. Will Andrea be able to find her father? Is he being held captive by the Soviets? The winner of the Cold War may be determined by the success or failure of Al's mission, and if Andrea fails to locate her father, what will happen to him?
