The story of Zacchaeus teaches us that when we run ahead of the crowd and separate ourselves from the world, then we can see Christ, but remember, we must run to the right spot, the right location, and the right place to see Him. The sycamore fig tree was the right spot for Zacchaeus to see Christ. It is important to seek God’s grace for direction in our walk of salvation. Salvation comes to the penitent at heart, Jesus takes over your life and the Spirit of God begins the work of sanctification to a pure life.
