This is a true story of Benjamin Hirscher's as a foster boy. One of Ben's early recollections is framed picture of a
Boy Angel. This picture had an everlasting effect on him and became his Talisman.
At six years old, Ben was placed into a foster home with a childless farming family in rural Switzerland. It was a steep

grandmother became the mediator and love giving catalyst.
This story follows Ben, a shy and frightening boy through the early school days as an outsider trying to fit in.
As a teenager he started to stand up for himself and became an unwittingly hero and a bit of a celebrity.
While in high school, Ben's past was catching up and not to his liking.
An apprenticeship and the callup for military service was Ben's hope to become a man and independent.
