Inhaltsangabe

In an increasingly interconnected and media world, audiovisual content has become a primary tool for storytelling and information sharing. Themes and stories are created through the interplay of images, sound, and language, and how translators navigate these layered modes to make content accessible across different languages and cultures. As audiences consume media on different platforms and in diverse contexts, understanding multimodality is essential for producing translations that are not only accurate but also emotionally resonant and culturally attuned. Multimodality and Translation in Audiovisual Media explores the evolving intersection of multimodality and translation across various digital and media platforms. It examines the challenges faced by translators and localizers as they adapt content to different culturally diverse audiences. Covering topics such as audiovisual media, digital media, and translation, this book is an excellent resource for translators, educators, academicians, graduate students, and more.
