Sustainable forest management balances ecological integrity, economic viability, and social responsibility in the use and conservation of forest resources. Forest ecosystems are shaped by natural processes, human activities, and climate change, making their management complex. Challenges include deforestation, biodiversity loss, land-use conflicts, and the impacts of global warming on forest health and productivity. New perspectives, like community-based management, adaptive strategies, and the use of innovative technologies, enhance forest resilience and ensure forests provide essential environmental, economic, and social benefits for future generations. Dynamics, Challenges, and Perspectives for Sustainable Forest Management examines forest ecosystems, documenting their current state, typology, biodiversity, and ecosystem services through a multidisciplinary lens. It analyzes the anthropogenic and climatic pressures, presenting the evolving institutional, legal, and social frameworks of forest management while exploring cutting-edge innovations in remote sensing, biotechnology, and AI applied to forestry. This book covers topics such as climate change, fire management, and biology, and is a useful resource for biologists, conservationists, academicians, researchers, and environmental scientists.
