Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Oytun Meçik is a Professor in the Department of Economics at Eskişehir Osmangazi University. He completed his undergraduate studies at Eskişehir Osmangazi University in 2008, earned his master’s degree from Uşak University in 2010, and received his Ph.D. in Economics from Anadolu University in 2014. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Macroeconomics in 2017 and was promoted to full Professor in 2023. Prof. Dr. Meçik’s research primarily focuses on labor markets, social and economic networks, and contemporary issues in applied economics. His recent work centers on social capital, education–employment mismatch, the economic implications of digital transformation, and innovation economics. In addition to his academic contributions, Prof. Dr. Meçik actively serves as an editor and editorial board member for several national and international journals and publishing houses. He is a member of the Turkish Economic Association and the Regional Science Turkish National Committee. In 2024, he was awarded the title of Social Mediator.
