Inhaltsangabe

AI is transforming how projects are conceived, planned, governed, executed, and evaluated. After decades of incremental tool support, project management is now crossing a threshold where intelligent systems can anticipate risks before they emerge, optimize schedules and resource plans in minutes, synthesize large volumes of documentation, and support teams in real time. Technologies including large language models (LLMs), predictive analytics, optimization algorithms, and intelligent agents are becoming embedded in everyday project workflows, from stakeholder engagement to procurement and change control. This shift is redefining the discipline, moving it from primarily retrospective reporting toward proactive, data-driven decision intelligence. The Role of AI in Modern Project Management positions AI not as a replacement for project professionals, but as an augmentation of judgment, creativity, and collaboration. In increasingly complex and dynamic environments, AI enhances the precision, pace, and inclusivity of project work through improved forecasting, faster processes, and clearer communication. Covering topics such as project initiation and planning, early-stage project evaluation, and predictive intelligence, this book is an emerging academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, project professionals, executives, consultants, educators, policy makers, and more.
