Fresh, leafy greens, on the other hand, guarantee that animals kept in confinement stay well hydrated. The Domestication of Uromastyx in History Due to their unique appearance and tendency to live in deserts, uromastyx have been known about and researched for ages, but as pets, they are relatively new. In the past, the majority of observations of Uromastyx were made in the wild, or they were collected and used for food or traditional medicine in some societies.
