It’s the master

And I the slave.

My mind and my body

Are not under my control.

They take orders from elsewhere

Which leads me to wonder

If a supernatural force is at play.

Being a non-believer,

I can only laugh the thought away

But the sensations I feel stay.

That Neuro Thing I Have is a series of essays I wrote after the book Anything But This. I wanted to share my experiences and understanding of migraines in the last few years. Anything But This gave a detailed account of what a migraineur’s life is. This is an addition to it. The book starts with the essays and poems I wrote in the year 2022 and it continues for three years during which I learned a lot more about the symptoms I have.
