Biologist Clint Davis and his assistant Rance Filson were conducting research on the endangered Mexican spotted owl one night in Sedona’s red rock country when they witness a brutal massacre as a drug deal suddenly goes bad.
Clint’s love of baseball causes him to connect the dots between professional baseball, smuggled drugs and the New Age culture of Sedona. The extent of the criminal operation reaches from Sedona to San Francisco and then across the Pacific to the People’s Republic of China.
None of the participants are spared the threat of injury or even death including Clint, Rance, law enforcement personnel along with Clint’s estranged wife Kate.
Clint and his cohorts find themselves caught between the ruthless drug peddlers, wild game poachers and murderous ball players. It all takes place against the backdrop of a beautiful and dangerous ecosystem. He discovers a New Age cult that offers its followers spiritual release and redemption yet conducts murder and mayhem behind the scenes.
