Rhia Azan is the current Historian, and for five centuries she has documented pivotal points in history which affect the progression of humankind. Instances that ended civilizations, the eureka moments which propelled technologies forward, behaviors of influential people that swayed societal norms, and so many other moments in which a decision or action has affected humanity, they have all been chronicled for the Archives.
In the last hundred years, a lot of these moments have revolved around a race of people that had not been openly known to the public. This lost race possesses extraordinary, preternatural abilities and skills, and for ages they have mostly kept to themselves, hiding their amazing gifts from normal humans. Fear of bigotry, exclusion, and aggression forced them to hide who they truly were and what they were capable of. In recent years though, their spectacular feats have been harder and harder to disguise, as more of them are being born and more normal humans are taking notice of them.
For apathetic and hateful homo sapiens, this lost race of people is to be watched as if they were a threat to civilization, and they should not be thought of as human. However, science has proven that there is a common heritage between these extraordinary peoples and folks with no superpowers. Thus, for decades now, they have been called Neurosapiens.
For a long time, Rhia had just witnessed the struggle of Neurosapiens, her empathy often leading her to help them in some small way. But in the last century, she was summoned to document these instances for the Archives. She now understands that Neurosapiens are vital to the progression of humanity, though she has not figured out how they are important to it. The Historian continues to chronicle the passionate exploits, egoistic displays, and frightening revelations of Neurosapiens using their gifts, hoping that society can acknowledge the fact that homo sapiens and Neurosapiens are all human.
