"Some More Poems By Joe" is the sequel to a prior publication titled, "Some Poems By Joe" which Is a collection of poems written subsequent to the destruction of The World Trade Center in New York City near where the author worked at that time. The "Foreword" of the book describes the genesis of these many poems and why so many of them initially focused on family and friends instead of on the sorrow experienced daily while working in the depressing shadow of such devastation. So, instead of using poetry as a means of alleviating the angst of working in a disaster area, the author used poems to alleviate the angst of being the only son of Italian parents whose somewhat satirical sitcom-like life was dominated by his four feet eleven inches gray haired mother who easily could have been a prototype for the Sophia Petrillo character of "The Golden Girls" sitcom. Most of the poems tell a story - about love, life, family, friends, and of growing old. Others touch on the philosophical, offer food for thought, or are amusing and just for fun.
