Inspired by the drawings and poems of the nineteenth-century artist Paul Thumann, Tom Hindley has translated some of the original Thumann poems and added some lyrical offerings to create a classic gem for young readers of all ages. Rhymes for Small and Large is a collection of illustrations and verse by Thumann, taken from what is believed to be his only book, Fűr Mutter und Kind (published about 1880), as well as works by Hindley.
