He and his friend operated a movie theatre in town and a 7-11 type store outside town. After a conversion experience, and remaining in Telluride, he worked in the mine as an electrician. Then he became electrical foreman for the mill and crusher plant, which after two years closed down. He then attended a Bible College in Texas. This was in the Hill Country of Texas where they experienced two 500-year floods in four years. He investigated creation theories leading him to write a book on the subject. About retirement age, he had two major surgeries. The book includes research into creation, the Biblical Flood, and the travels of Moses.
