This compilation was prepared in March 1992 by J. Richard Salazar of the State of New Mexico Records Center and Archives, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is reproduced here with his kind permission.

The original of this document is in the Audencia de Guadalajara, Legajo No. 139, Archivo General de Indias, Sevilla. A copy is also available at Zimmerman Library, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque.
