Inhaltsangabe

For centuries the Book of Psalms has been a "go-to" resource for God's people. This is because the psalms address a wide range of human experiences, both positive and negative. There is an honesty and authenticity exhibited by the psalmist, especially King David, that easily resonates with readers. Dr. Eyrich has capitalized on this in his “blog-style” devotional commentary. He explains how the Psalms’ themes reflected what was happening in David’s own life, how they informed the thinking of Jesus and his apostles, and how they address a number of the issues we are facing today. His meditations on Psalms 1-20 are brief, which makes them ideal for readers who are tight on time. And yet, his meditations are deep enough to spark further thinking for readers who desire to grow in their understanding of what it means to be the people of God in the twenty-first century. - Jeff Forrey, PhD
