Inhaltsangabe

"Burning Colony" is an intelligent, suspenseful, thoroughly recommendable science fiction thriller that continues "Generation 23" worthily in the past. An unreserved purchase recommendation for adult readers.
- Phantastic Reading

More than sixty years have passed since Earth fell victim to the asteroid PW-78 "Goliath". Humanity is extinct - at least on its home planet. Huge generation ships, the last hope of our species, are on their way to new worlds. But on Mars, a last faint light of civilization still burns. Against all odds, sealed off from the outside world, 天上的云城, the "celestial cloud city," has survived. When the Chinese base is attacked by unknowns, humanity's last bastion is in danger of falling. Desperate and without much hope, radio messages are sent in all directions, the colony begs for help. And help does come, in the form of Commodore Alessia Okoye. A living artifact, steeled in the former space fleet of the African Union. An elite officer who carries a dark secret. But not as dark as that of the colony itself ...

An almost extinct human race, in the not too distant future. One last outpost on Mars, besieged by an unknown force. Who will survive - and at what price?

The second space thriller set against the post-apocalyptic world of the "Goliath" scenario delivers more exciting crime, gripping thrill and state-of-the-art science fiction from best-selling Author Ivan Ertlov.

Attention: Although this is a separate, self-contained story, it takes place in the same setting as "Generation 23 - Hallowed Be Thy Noble Name" and contains spoilers for this novel. If you want to read "Generation 23", you should do so BEFORE reading "Burning Colony".
