After retiring in his early 60’s, Jim Freund turned his professional attention to mediating commercial disputes. He wrote a major book on the subject (Anatomy of a Mediation) and mediated close to 50 disputes arising out of the Lehman Bros. bankruptcy. His multiple accomplishments during 24 years of “retirement” confirm Freund’s versatility – a novel (Three’s a Crowd), a play and over 30 fictional short stories, several major exhibits and two books of his photography, and 30 CD albums of his piano and vocal recordings. At 85, Jim Freund is still going strong, and his memoir is an engrossing tale that also contains valuable advice for its readers.
