"Erring Japanese: Life as Objectors - Samayoeru Nihonjin" is based on a true story. Set in Tokyo, Shanghai, Tenshin in the 1920s-1940s, the story depicts an anti-conformist couple's life and legacy. The Pacifist civils’ point of view during WWII is generally unknown to the public. This graphic novel is the result of extensive research studies and documented exploration of hidden family stories in historical locations. It bridges between Black and White comics illustration and Manga styles influenced by Hugo Pratt, Ryoko Ikeda and Italian Art History. The Art in this novel truly wishes to leave in the hands of future generations a peaceful, healing message to overcome life hardships at any age and stage in life.
