As an adult, she goes exploring in the woods where the neighbourhood kids used to play. And by sheer chance finds a shocking clue connected to Henry’s disappearance. This involves ‘Filippo’s Game’ – a series of secret puzzles set up inside the woods, made up of ladders, tunnels and dens. Filippo was the nickname of her cousin who also once lived here. After this discovery she wonders whether the old gang back in the 1990s may have had something to do with Henry’s vanishing. Dolina is now the only one left in the neighbourhood of that original gang. Henry was an odd boy, and disliked by the others. Are there more secrets to be found in the woods? She goes on a quest to find out. Filippo’s Game is mystery novel that explores the power of memory and the dark possibilities of childhood.
