Inhaltsangabe

A profound and heartfelt poetry collection that invites readers into the intimate world of an Indigenous woman on a powerful journey of self-discovery and healing.

Through prose poetry and vivid imagery, the author gives voice to the thoughts and emotions she has long carried in silence—feelings that could never be expressed in words alone.

This collection dives deep into personal trauma, the generational pain experienced by her people, and the resilience that has carried them through it all. It is a raw and unapologetic exploration of identity, culture, and the struggle for healing. With courage and vulnerability, the poet shares the painful truths of her life, while also celebrating the strength and perseverance that have allowed her—and her community—to endure.

Indigenous, I Am is more than just a collection of poems. It is an invitation for others to see themselves reflected in these words, to find solace in shared experiences, and to feel seen and heard. The poet’s ultimate hope is that her words will resonate deeply with readers, offering a sense of belonging, safety, and solidarity.

For anyone seeking a powerful, evocative read that tackles personal and collective trauma with grace and resilience, this book is a must-read. Let these words of strength and healing touch your soul, just as they have touched the author’s.
