Building your Survival Utility Vehicle is easier than you might think. Some people can complete the job in hours while others may take days. To make this as easy as possible, step-by-step instructions are provided created a lightweight multi-passenger off-road camper because of uncertainty and the unknows. The whole world is going insane and the lunatics are in charge of the asylum. This post apocalyptic bicycle camper is kind of a bug-out vehicle if you want to call it that. I Converted two motorized mountain bikes into a multi-passenger off-road bugout camper just in case the stuff should hit the fan. I Started with two motorized bikes built per manufacturer's instructions and completed a 500 km recommended break-in period from April to December 2020 (Approximately 8 months) The engines are still running just fine. Reliability based on actual test results were very good. I did not think they would last that long. Now, I am a believer. I connected two bicycles with thin walled 3/4 steel conduit. I added a top structure to support a water proof canvas tarp for sun screen and rain protection. Maybe replace the canvas tarp with fiberglass and use aluminum conduit for additional weight reduction. Also, I included a multi-passenger back bench attached to the canopy frame. It can carry a small family of 4 including pets Analysis show an excellent strength to weight radio of 35 lb weight to 800 lb load. I thought maybe I could tie a couple of hammocks above for good measure. Another feature I included is an all-around drop-down curtain that could be used as a privacy tent for showers and attached with standard shower curtain hooks.PadLockable storage box may be mounted behind the passenger seat and a cargo carrier attached as well. A Water bladder could be mounted underneath the back bench in a cargo net.Power to move the vehicle comes from bicycle petals and 2 stroke petrol engine. A Brushless (BLDC) front wheel electric motor connected to a 48 volt lithium battery pack and charged with a solar panel may be added. The right throttle is used for the gas and the left throttle may be used for the BLDC packageAll things considered this could be a perfect Survival Utility vehicle The off-road camper could be lifted over fence obsticles and across rivers.Inexpensive, easy to repair, build, and assemble with standard off-the-shelf materials, READY TO GO! The kit may be disassembled for shipping and /or stored in the garage.Great gas mileage with 175 km / liter. Street legal with No license, No registration and No Insurance required in many StatesThis could be a great project for those with some mechanical ability.
