Over the last 30 years, the sport of basketball has grown tremendously and is now played around the world. A Basketball Mind is a book written by me, Michael James Clemons. This book is about observing the game of basketball for what it is in 2021 and the modern era. I give my perspective on the modern-day basketball journey and ways to navigate that journey. This is not some new school of thought or reinvention of the wheel, but it is a book that packages up high-level observations that have already been made by coaches, trainers and basketball enthusiasts. My main goal is to help broaden players’ and coaches’ perspectives on what I believe is the current state of the game. I use my own journey as well as research from other people’s journeys to expand players’ and coaches’ thought processes. I’m a true student of the game and the things I identify and talk about are things I’ve endured and observed over the years.
