Inhaltsangabe

An in depth look at politics and analysis as to why our democracy struggles in the United States of America. What is limiting our politician's ability to solve big problems? This balanced review looks at the principles of democracy established over 200 years ago at the founding of its democracy by reviewing the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Amendments as well as political shifts and voting tendencies. Democracy is much more than just the right to vote.Rarely do we get to read such authoritative research on how democracy works and how it is supposed to work. The most intelligent proposal is a simple solution to fix the major problems where our politicians struggle. An idea called a new virtuous political mechanism. The idea here is to support the weakness of government at the federal, state and local level with good process and honest research to drive solutions. This book has a refreshingly positive tone with regard to understanding the problems of national and local level politics and proposing a continuous process solution to fixing the largest problems that we face in the United States of America - ethnic inequality, high cost of healthcare, declining value of public education, a police force that is making too many mistakes due to the complexity of their job and structural limitations, industry supports needed to rebuild long-term fundamentals that have been lost and yes, a viable approach to correcting the negative effects of global warming. Rarely do you see such comprehensive research and innovative ideas in one place. This is a must read for all Americans and anyone who wants to learn about democracy.
