Dr John Hunt and Dr David Jefferson both retired after decades of practicing veterinary medicine in Maine. Dr Hunt had a successful small animal practice in Bucksport, on the coast. Dr Jefferson, further south and inland, had a successful large animal farm practice. They had never met. In 2018 each accepted an offer to teach at York County Community College in York, Maine, where they team-taught vet tech students.
