He has also served as an adjunct professor at Gardner Webb University in the School of Education. As a consultant, he specializes in Teambuilding, Conflict Resolution, and Effective Communication. Dr. Pickard has contributed as a National Board Examiner for NCATE in Washington, DC. He is a published author, with works including Forgiven, an Easter story, and his autobiography, A Place Called Home, reflecting on his inspiring journey from adversity to triumph.
