A British commander filed a report on August 14th 1939, a month before the German invasion of Poland. Three days earlier, he had found a German research camp. They were researching a Viking burial mound, and several artifacts were there, all Norse. Three days later, he came back to visit and heard a battle. Gunfire and thick, black smoke were rampant. Later, he found a scary scene. It looked like the dead Vikings came out of the ground and killed the research team. Strangest of all, the smoke still swirled in the air, but there was no fire, or any other possible source. Had an unknown evil been uncovered? What was found on that fateful day may have been on an island, but the impact would be felt globally.
