Active Study: Chinese Mandarin Workbook: GCSE Focused is a well-structured and easy-to-read workbook for Chinese Mandarin learners and students who are studying towards GCSE Chinese Mandarin Exams.
The chapters of the workbook cover a wide range of popular exam topics including, family members, the weather, food and drink, school subjects, hobbies and many more. The book contains 14 passages; each passage focuses on a particular topic. There are two Exercises in each passage. Exercise 1 requires the reader to complete the sentences by choosing the correct option; Exercise 2 is a 'word-matching exercise.' Answers as well as a translation of the passages are provided at the end of the workbook for readers to review.
The book is highly recommended for learners who would like to improve their reading skills and expand their vocabulary and learn how to apply their reading skills in practice. The workbook is highly exam-focused.
The author has been tutoring Chinese Mandarin since 2019 and recommends her students use the workbook to prepare and revise for their GCSE exams.
